Anytime Fitness Toombul

Anytime Fitness Toombul recently reopened in a new location with as a completely new “premium” club. I was heavily involved in designing all graphics and marketing strategies for opening the new club.

A New Approach

The original Anytime Fitness Club was 5+ years old and quickly becoming “small” and “below standard” for the franchise expectations. Moving to a space that was more than double in size, allowed a great opportunity to transform the club into a premium facility with new equipment, training zones, extra services like nutrition, personal training, and massage, as well as member zones and a beauty bar.

Design

To emphasise the “premium” club status, the design direction had to be sophisticated, clean and with an expensive edge. Posters, flyers, business cards and more helped to bring together the marketing collateral package for the club and change the perception of Anytime Fitness Toombul.

Purple Bike Challenge

As guerilla marketing strategy, we placed 12 purple-painted bikes in the surrounding suburbs. We used social media only to boost posts and promote the competition.

Each bike had a small sign with a logo and simple instructions to “take a pic with me + tag us to #win12monthmembership”

Purple Bikes: Success

The response to the competition was overwhelming with 100’s of posts from members of the public uploading images of the bikes.

To increase the engagement, we decided to give away a lifetime membership to someone who found all 12 bikes before the end of the competition.
