Logo & uniform redesign

UQ HANDBALL CLUB

European Handball, Olympic Handball or Borden Ball, it doesn’t matter what you call it, just warm your arm up and get ready to have an awesome time with the University of Queensland Handball Club.

The club was officially formed in 1992.—

Still based at the St. Luica campus in Brisbane, Queensland.  The club field’s both a men’s and womens’ team in the Queensland Handball League and has produced many Queensland and Australian Representative players

EXISTING BRANDING

As the UQ handball club continues to grow, the need for a strong brand identity including logos and visual material is crucial.

This existing logo has been used on athlete jerseys and training kit, as well as social media and communication material.

The brand update must establish a stronger, more professional appearance to denote the professionalism and competitive nature of the sport.

REDESIGNED LOGO

This logo was chosen by the committe as the new logo for UQ handball.

This circle (ball) shaped logo has the date of establishment to demonstrate credibility and a clear image of a handball to demonstrate the sport.

This logo uses primary and secondary colours from the UQ team colours with a focus on the light and dark blue for maximum contrast on a maroon background.

This logo is suitable for circle and square profile images on social media accounts and for use on a letterhead and branding material

UNIFORMS

The new logo was featured on the training and competition uniforms for the mens & womens teams.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Finally, with a fresh logo, the team revived their social media pages, specifically Instagram and Facebook to connect with their members and reach new audiences.
